Episode 190- Let’s Break It Down (Down The Well)

This week Chicken and Baka just got into the Dauntless beta and had a lot of run playing that. Has Baka already finished the South Park game? And how did he get stuck in an infinite combat loop? Grif hasn't been able to play much this week, but her sister did finish Uncharted 4! Since she enjoyed the heavy story so much, Grif had her start Final Fantasy XV. Will there be loads of crying? We'll find out! There was a clutch play in Overwatch that has the crew all excited. And Chicken has decided it'd be fun to stream Dark Souls 3. He hates himself. In the news, Chicken is lamenting the canning of the Resident Evil TV show that had been in the works. Nintendo managed to sneak in the use of GameCube controllers for the Switch with the latest update. Microsoft has officially axed the Kinect. Everyone isn't rejoicing in the streets. Wait, what's going on here? And then the big topic for the week: Is AAA single player dead? Are developers more interested in the mountains of cash multiplayer games can bring in as opposed to the single buy of solo campaigns? We'd love to know what you think about this topic! Does Nintendo even care about the topic of single player vs multiplayer or do they have their own corner of the market where that question doesn't matter? All this and much more on this week's Infinite Respawn Podcast!

Episode 189- Loot Box Plague

Oak's back! He's got lots to talk about on the gaming front, too! Baka's been playing the new South Park game. Is it as offensive as the last one?  Chicken's playing Prey finally and his experience is pretty different from Grif's playthrough. And Grif has introduced her sister to her newest addiction: Uncharted. In the news: LOOT BOXES! Seriously, so much loot box news. Some games have too man, others seem to be doing better with the pseudo gambling. Who is trying to be better and who is on the opposite end of the spectrum? And seriously, did someone patent a system to essentially push microtransactions and loot boxes on you in a kind of underhanded manner? Yeah. They did... EA shutters Visceral, surprising many. What happens to the Star Wars game they were working on now? And there's a new dating sim in the news. Next year you'll be able to dungeon crawl and then date the weapons you find in said dungeon. Because... reasons! Boyfriend Dungeon, just what the hell is it?! All this and more on this week's Infinite Respawn Podcast!

Episode 175- Mods, Legal Action, & Pirates

This week both Oak & Chicken are excited to finally have their very own Nintendo Switches. Is it all they hoped it would be? Grif is punching people in GTA V. Problem? What problem? She's totally fine. Speaking of GTA, Rockstar sent a cease and desist letter to the developer of of OpenIV, the biggest GTA V modding platform out there. Fans are not happy and they're complaining about it via Steam's review system. Ubisoft confirms Skull and Bones will have a campaign but just how will that fit with the multiplayer driven trailer they showed at E3? Bioware could be gearing up for 10 years worth of Anthem. Sounds familiar, huh Destiny? And the Steam Summer Sale has started! Time to spend pennies on games you may not play for years to come! Everyone's pretty impressed with the new Friday the 13th game after watching a few streamers play it. No one's picked it up yet, though. Will they pick it up soon? Grif has lots of stories this week for what she's been playing. She's introduced her sister to Dying Light and GTA V. Things are ... interesting. In the news, we finally have details about Far Cry 5. Will the new information change Grif's mind about the game?  Netflix has put out a trailer for their Castlevania series and they've already renewed it for a second season. Will we ever get more details on the Witcher series they're working on? Is Nintendo partnering with Ubisoft for a Mario/Rabbids crossover? Seems like they may be! Possibly. The crew discusses what they'd like to see from the game since Rockstar's spending some extra time working on it.  And Bungie addressed the concerns about peer to peer servers. In a Dungeons & Dragons update, Baka's half-orc character runs from a fight as though he was a scared kid. In the news , Nintendo has managed to fix the issue with the Switch's left Joy-con. Blizzard dumped the Battlenet launcher in favor of calling it... well, Blizzard. WoW is about to get a huge patch that should open the Tomb of Sargeras and more. Ubisoft is defending the mass amounts of Steele needed to unlock everything in For Honor which spurs a conversation about the state of microtransactions in games. A poster may have leaked the launch date for Destiny which leads to a discussion on timed exclusive content. All this and much more on this week's Infinite Respawn Podcast!

And is SisLynam as into Halo as Grif? In the news, there was game play footage of Shadow of War this week and everyone's in love! Chickens are super weapons in Breath of the Wild! Speed runners are already finding faster ways to travel in the new Zelda world! The crew gets a little sidetracked talking about whether or not speed runners can still enjoy the games they play. And there's a possible Just Cause movie in the works. Can there be a successful movie based on a game that's largely about blowing random stuff up? All this and much more on this week's Infinite Respawn Podcast!

This week the crew might be short one member, but that's not slowing them down! Baka and Chicken talk new Starbound adventures. Baka's upset about the SNES. Grif is being forced to play Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Ubisoft thought it'd be a good idea to put a vagina in Watchdogs 2. Turns out that's not such a bright idea. Episode 140- Assassin’s Stranding

While Oak's on vacation, Chicken, Grif, and Baka hold things down on the show! Chicken's been shiny hunting in Pokemon. He's had the game for days and still hasn't even started actually playing the game! Grif's in love with Bioshock all over again. The remastered collection came out on Tuesday and she can't stop fawning over it. Speaking of remasters, Ubisoft finally officially announced The Ezio Collection. There was quite a bit of Blizzard/Warcraft news to talk about just ahead of BlizzCon. A retirement, an upstart, and some hidden goodies top the Blizz stories. Kojima talked a little more about Death Stranding. "A little" is pretty accurate considering he didn't give away much more than everyone already know. Oh and now Kojima's got a cartoon drawn of him and some buddies that everyone's sure to recognize. Why? Because... Kojima? Sure, let's go with that. Episode 139- Modded Console Wars!

Oak "broke down" and bought the ARK expansion even though he said he wouldn't just a week prior. The crew talks about the validity of speaking with your wallet in today's gaming world. Then it's on to more fun stuff! Sony announced the PS4 Slim and the PS4 Pro. Are the new members of the PS4 family worth upgrading to? What about all this talk of no 4K Blu-Ray? Microsoft feels confident the Xbox One S and Project Scorpio can more than compete with the new PS4s. Are they right about that? Is the console war heating up again with all the new announcements? Also Sony said "no" to mods for Fallout 4 and Skyrim. Seems silly since they were ok with it before Fallout 4 launched. Odd behavior indeed! And WoW launched a companion app that means no more productive days at work for Grif! All this and much more on this week's Infinite Respawn Podcast!

Episode 136- Gamescom & More

Ever wonder how to tell Oak and Grif apart? Find out this week! The show got off to a really weird start with chats about everyone's looks, but our hosts managed to pull themselves back on track eventually. Baka is playing an MMO on console and he's not so sure about the controls. Grif is excited about the impending release of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, but Chicken gets to play their copy first. Oak's still playing No Man's Sky. Grif talks about making the "right" choices in Fallout 4. There was plenty of news out of Gamescom this year about a game everyone's been playing. Blizzard announced plenty of things for, you guessed it, Overwatch! Bastion got an animated short, Zarya is coming to Heroes of the Storm, and Blizzard is making trolls a little nicer. Recently there has been an uproar about Overwatch's Summer Olympics loot boxes. Resident Evil 7 is putting off some long time RE fans with it's latest  trailer. Will the game be in first person rather than third this time around? Will there be an option to fight back? So far it looks like a really weird game of hide and seek. Konami is showing off it's first Metal Gear game since Kojima's departure. It is definitely ... different. There's a rumor about an Assassin's Creed 2 remaster that has Grif excited. She's also excited about the Bioshock remaster which finally got a graphical comparison video this week. All this and more on this week's Infinite Respawn Podcast!

Episode 134- Punishing Panda Face

This week's show is a pretty mixed bag and that's definitely a good thing! Grif's addicted to Skyrim (again). Baka and Oak try to turn her medieval experience into GTA. Then the crew likens Grif's Fallout 4 settlement to the Olympics in Rio because... it makes sense. Maybe. Chicken tried out Mordheim: City of the Dead. Turns out that game is super punishing  and might make people cry. The pre-Legion patch for World of Warcraft came out and not everyone is happy with it. The crew talk PvP changes and more. In the news this week, Blizzard sends out a new wave for bans that has people crying on their forums. Hilarity ensures. Oak's excited about old school Disney games making a return on PC soon. TaleTell's Batman game launched and the PC players were not happy. The crew talks about fail frame rates and glitches in the game. 2K's vowed to continue supporting Battleborn even though it wasn't as successful as they'd hoped. Episode 129- Fireworks and Dragons

This week Grif's fallen back into her Fallout 4 addiction. She totally tuned out everything while working on the Automatron DLC because who needs real life when there are robots involved? Chicken and Baka are still in Overwatch bliss. When they aren't playing Overwatch, they're back to World of Warcraft. Blizzard definitely knows how to keep them hooked! Grif was ecstatic over the announcement of Bioshock: The Collection. So much so that she may ditch Chicken on his birthday just to get her plasmid fix. Call of Duty is getting dragons. Yeah, none of our hosts get it either. Resident Evil 7 isn't a ghost story but no one know exactly what it is yet. And since the the fourth of July is right around the corner, everyone shares their outrageous stories about fireworks and a total disregard for personal safety. PSA kids, don't try this at home... The crew takes a look at the major (and not so major) E3 announcements. They debate what we were supposed to take from Kojima's Death Stranding trailer and share their thoughts on the console announcements from Microsoft and Sony. The new Resident Evil game may have piqued some interests and the latest Detriot: Become Human trailer sparks quite a bit of speculation. Gears of War 4 showed off new gameplay that offers quite a new things that feel like some old things. Bulletstorm may be getting a remaster but nothing is confirmed. The crew debates the need for the PC version of Bethesda's Skyrim remaster. The God of War game gives Kratos' kid a really odd name and the crew can not get over it. Turns out demons are not nice things and they really enjoy killing people. Baka and Chicken are still very much wrapped up in Total War: Warhammer. Chicken's so into it that he's got three separate games going. The Warcraft movie is almost here and the crew are talking about their WoW pasts. There's some minor news talk about The Division as a movie, The Sims 4 and new gender options, and Resident Evil's upcoming releases. Things get a bit deeper as the crew discusses whether or not games count as art and why. To lighten things back up, Grif and Baka share stories from their upcoming Let's Play: Halo Combat Evolved videos. All this and much more on this week's Infinite Respawn Podcast!
