Episode 196- The Game Awards & Beyond!

The Game Awards were this week. We'll give you one guess as to what a bulk of the show is about... Yep! So many fun things to discuss about this years' show! From crazy passionate creators to just play crazy weirdness, there's no shortage of topics to choose from. Beyond the awards, though, we've got a little bit of news and opinions to share: Destiny 2's locking players out of content with the new DLC, Scott Cawthon stealth launched a new FNAF game, and Fortnite is getting a limited time massive 50V50 mode. All this and MUCH more on this week's Infinite Respawn Podcast!

Episode 195- Cereal, Loot Boxes, & Star Wars Puns

Grif gets a new PC (mostly), Chicken and Oak played a game together (shocking!), and Baka gets to be a Star Wars nerd. Speaking of Star Wars, guess what's still in the news! More SWBF2 controversy due to EA and their continued argument about needing their microtransactions. Grif makes possibly the best and worst pun of all time while the crew brainstorms better ways for SWBF2 to make money on the side. EA isn't the only company in hot water about microtransactions this week. Hi-Res, the studio behind Paladins, is introducing their own loot box based progression system and it has not be well received. And Nintendo is now getting into the cereal game and simultaneously introducing a new amiibo. The box is the amiibo. Yes really. All this and MUCH more on this week's Infinite Respawn Podcast!

Episode 194- BEEPBEEP Double Kill

This week everyone's in a nice post-Thanksgiving mood. Ok, "nice" may be a subjective term here. It's a fun show everyone, so buckle up! There's lots of discussion about Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and the craziness that follows Thanksgiving. As for games: Grif tried out Little Nightmares even though she's not a fan of platformers. Baka had a great savior play in PUBg. Chicken started Injustice 2 and he has some interesting thoughts on the progression system. And Oak is addicted to Destiny 2. Speaking of D2, the game was in the news this week for some interesting XP fluctuations. A Belgium group has decided the loot box system is gambling and plans to move forward with new laws and structuring. And Epic is suing a 14 year old for Fortnite vidoes he posted on YouTube. All this and much more on this week's Infinite Respawn Podcast!

Episode 193- EA, Gambling, & Greed Wars

There's no shortage of opinions on this week's show! The crew briefly talks about a few minor bits of news and then everything devolves into the Battlefront 2 debacle. The issue was such a bit topic we devoted over half the show to discussing and debating the issues revolving around EA's latest Star Wars game.

Episode 192- Massive Maps, Lawsuits, & EA Everywhere

This week Baka's MIA but Grif's had enough caffeine to make up for the missing person. Chicken's been very tactical all week, from his four man chicken dinner in PUBg to the coordination required for Squad, he's been very militant. Is Grif too good at Cities: Skylines? And Oak's been testing the waters in Assassin's Creed Origins. In the news, EA's mentioned not launching a new FIFA every year. Speaking of EA, guess who bought Respawn, the devs behind Titanfall... Remember that loot cave exploit from the first Destiny? Yeah there might be something similar in Destiny 2. Is the loot system just that unrewarding that farming a cave is more fun than playing the game?  TellTale just laid off a quarter of their staff. What does that mean for the future of the studio and what led to this massive staffing cut to start with? And Activision is being sued for using the Humvee logo in Call of Duty games. CoD, by the way, has been using the logo/vehicle since the first Modern Warfare. So... a decade. Yeah.  All this and much more on this week's Infinite Respawn Podcast!

Episode 190- Let’s Break It Down (Down The Well)

This week Chicken and Baka just got into the Dauntless beta and had a lot of run playing that. Has Baka already finished the South Park game? And how did he get stuck in an infinite combat loop? Grif hasn't been able to play much this week, but her sister did finish Uncharted 4! Since she enjoyed the heavy story so much, Grif had her start Final Fantasy XV. Will there be loads of crying? We'll find out! There was a clutch play in Overwatch that has the crew all excited. And Chicken has decided it'd be fun to stream Dark Souls 3. He hates himself. In the news, Chicken is lamenting the canning of the Resident Evil TV show that had been in the works. Nintendo managed to sneak in the use of GameCube controllers for the Switch with the latest update. Microsoft has officially axed the Kinect. Everyone isn't rejoicing in the streets. Wait, what's going on here? And then the big topic for the week: Is AAA single player dead? Are developers more interested in the mountains of cash multiplayer games can bring in as opposed to the single buy of solo campaigns? We'd love to know what you think about this topic! Does Nintendo even care about the topic of single player vs multiplayer or do they have their own corner of the market where that question doesn't matter? All this and much more on this week's Infinite Respawn Podcast!

Episode 189- Loot Box Plague

Oak's back! He's got lots to talk about on the gaming front, too! Baka's been playing the new South Park game. Is it as offensive as the last one?  Chicken's playing Prey finally and his experience is pretty different from Grif's playthrough. And Grif has introduced her sister to her newest addiction: Uncharted. In the news: LOOT BOXES! Seriously, so much loot box news. Some games have too man, others seem to be doing better with the pseudo gambling. Who is trying to be better and who is on the opposite end of the spectrum? And seriously, did someone patent a system to essentially push microtransactions and loot boxes on you in a kind of underhanded manner? Yeah. They did... EA shutters Visceral, surprising many. What happens to the Star Wars game they were working on now? And there's a new dating sim in the news. Next year you'll be able to dungeon crawl and then date the weapons you find in said dungeon. Because... reasons! Boyfriend Dungeon, just what the hell is it?! All this and more on this week's Infinite Respawn Podcast!

Oak's back from PAX West and he has plenty to share! Rabbids, Cuphead, Eco, and more, he's got lots to talk about! Grif has some strange moments with her sister while playing Saints Row IV. And Baka let's Chicken down in PUBg. In the news, South Park's got a crazy difficulty slider, Blizzard's opening their own eSports arena, and there's a fighting game that pits Jesus against Buddha. The story that seemed to pull the most attention, though, was Destiny 2's new microtransactoins.  Will the consumable shaders and eventual boatload of DLC be the game's undoing? All this and more on this week's Infinite Respawn Podcast!

Episode 173- Early E3: So Much Goodness!

This week (and probably next week as well) is all about E3! We record on Sundays, so we got to chat about everything that had been shown off up until the Microsoft conference. So much to talk about & debate about! Will EA be awesome with Star Wars Battlefront 2 & free DLC or will microtransactions sell power? Episode 171- Sticky Bombs & Bags of Snakes

Everyone's pretty impressed with the new Friday the 13th game after watching a few streamers play it. No one's picked it up yet, though. Will they pick it up soon? Grif has lots of stories this week for what she's been playing. She's introduced her sister to Dying Light and GTA V. Things are ... interesting. In the news, we finally have details about Far Cry 5. Will the new information change Grif's mind about the game?  Netflix has put out a trailer for their Castlevania series and they've already renewed it for a second season. Will we ever get more details on the Witcher series they're working on? Is Nintendo partnering with Ubisoft for a Mario/Rabbids crossover? Seems like they may be! Possibly. Overwatch is celebrating a year of crazy fun with new maps, new skins, and lots of loot boxes. Red Dead Redemption 2 has been postponed until next yet. The crew discusses what they'd like to see from the game since Rockstar's spending some extra time working on it.  And Bungie addressed the concerns about peer to peer servers. Sort of.  All this and more on this week's Infinite Respawn Podcast!

Episode 164- Angry Players & Annoying AI

Chicken, Grif, & Baka have returned to World of Warcraft to test out Patch 7.2. Oak is sad about how much plot he's been given in Horizon Zero Dawn. Grif introduced her sister to shooting & looting in Borderlands and now she won't stop looting! And of course, the first big enemy  in the game drops a legendary weapon. Beginner's luck?  In the news, some WoW players are mad that they aren't super over powered. Bioware is planning to make some major repairs to Mass Effect Andromeda. Players are asking for a mute button to quiet the chatty AI but there's been no word on that yet. This year's Call of Duty is confirmed to be set in WWII. Will this be a refreshing return to their roots or more of the same? And peripheral retailer MadCatz has finally filed for bankruptcy. All this and much more on this week's Infinite Respawn Podcast!

Episode 163- Dumping Battlenet & Defending Microtransactions

This week Oak's been exploring Horizon Zero Dawn, Baka is jumping back into Fallout 4, & Grif's making her sister cry with The Last of Us. In a Dungeons & Dragons update, Baka's half-orc character runs from a fight as though he was a scared kid. In the news , Nintendo has managed to fix the issue with the Switch's left Joy-con. Blizzard dumped the Battlenet launcher in favor of calling it... well, Blizzard. WoW is about to get a huge patch that should open the Tomb of Sargeras and more. Ubisoft is defending the mass amounts of Steele needed to unlock everything in For Honor which spurs a conversation about the state of microtransactions in games. Mass Effect Andromeda is getting a patch to start repairing some of the broken things in the game. It doesn't fix everything, but at least it's progress. Right? A poster may have leaked the launch date for Destiny which leads to a discussion on timed exclusive content. All this and much more on this week's Infinite Respawn Podcast!

Episode 160- The Switch, The Sequels, & The Kickback

Oak's back from his vacation with a few stories to share. Chicken ignored Baka to run off and play a single player game. And Grif is getting her whole family into gaming now! In the news, there's lots you can't do with your new Nintendo Switch. For all of it's issues, the Switch is still a pretty strong new console. The crew shares stories about their previous console mishaps. The sequel to Shadow of Mordor, Shadow of War(dor), has been anounced! Destiny 2 is on the way but there's not much making the jump over from the first game in respects to player characters. Xbox has a new rental program on the way, but is it worth the ten bucks a month? Twitch is looking to offer streamers a little monetary kickback if their viewers buy games straight from their Twitch pages. And Blizzard might have over-tweaked Overwatch's Bastion during the last update. He's getting a little ridculous. All this and much more on this week's Infinite Respawn Podcast!
